5 inch-Monstera Adansonii (Swiss Cheese Plant)

The Swiss cheese plant is a stunning, unique looking, and helpful plant for freshwater aquariums! This plants uniqueness comes from developing holes on its leaves as it matures. This plant can be grown with the roots submerged in your aquarium and the stem/vine and leaves growing outside of the aquarium. This plant will absorb harmful chemicals in your fish tank which can reduce the frequency of water changes, reduce sudden spikes in levels of toxins, and keep your fish safer! The same harmful chemicals for the fish in your tank are actually helpful to plants such as these! If your fish tank has many live plants, or if there are very few fish, or you perform water changes more frequently, you may want to utilize an aquarium plant fertilizer. We recommend Aquarium Co-Op Easy Green which we use in all of our tanks. We have found it works better than any other fertilizer we have tried so far. The Swiss cheese plant is a common houseplant grown in soil. While it is possible to grow a Swiss cheese plant in soil and move it to your aquarium, we do not recommend this method as the smallest amount of soil in your aquarium could kill your entire tank. Luckily, our Swiss cheese plants have been grown in our tanks meaning when you purchase from us, your Swiss cheese plant will grow beautifully in your tank without any risk to your tank! Tips for Success: -Light: requires moderate-to-high light, but indirect light. The leaves can easily burn if the light is too direct or the plant may die if it does not receive the moderate-to-high amount of light required. -Water: freshwater, slightly acidic is preferred -Temperature: thrives in high-humidity and warm temperatures of 60F to 85F -Fertilizer: we use Aquarium Co-Op Easy Green Plant Fertilizer -Easier to grow in aquarium by using an aquarium plant holder which we sell here in our shop!
